Product Reviews
Izziwotnot's Bailey Sleigh cot-bed isn't cheap however it's elegant and well-constructed. It's easy to put together, although it requires two people. It looks great in any nursery. The panel was a huge success with our panelists, who loved the dark wood sides as well as the dowel edges. It's strong enough for your child to use until they're toddlers. It also conforms to British safety standards. The depth isn't enough that your child can climb out, and the distance between slats must not be more than 65mm. This should stop their heads from getting trapped. It is also necessary to purchase a mattress, which costs an additional PS88.
The sleigh design of this cot is really beautiful and makes it stand out from the rest. It's also very easy to get your baby in and out, which is another big plus. It's a little more expensive than other cots however our panel believed it was worth it due to the looks and durability.
This cot bed comes in a choice of rustic pine or walnut finishes and is suitable for babies from birth. It comes with three mattress heights, so you can start your baby by putting the base up to make it easier for them to access them throughout the day and at the night, and then lower it as they develop. It has teething rails that safeguard your child's furniture and gums. When your child has grown out of their cot, you can easily transform it into a junior mattress, and then a couch.
The westport design by Silver Cross is another cot that is sturdy and built to last. It can be used from birth as a cot, and later as a toddler bed, and finally as a junior bed. (Toddler guard rails are available separately). Our panel found it a little tricky to convert from cot to bed, but their other half thought it was a doddle and took less than five minutes to complete. It's also a bit more expensive than other cots, but it's the kind of style that you'd probably want to keep and use for your children as they grow.
